KeyMacro is a versatile utility that works as a replacement for the standard shortcut keys. While using the standard hot keys, you’ll have to move your mouse or trackpad several times. KeyMacro lets you assign predefined hot keys to programs, folders and web sites. All you have to do is to press your assigned hot keys once.
KeyMacro allows you to define custom commands that can perform various tasks such as displaying system information, opening windows, adding files to a folder, copying files or opening PDF files.
In addition, KeyMacro has a ‘Find’ feature that allows you to search the entire computer for specific text strings, find applications and files that contain the text, or open the selected file.
KeyMacro is fully customizable and supports the most recent operating systems (including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and XP).
KeyMacro can be used both as a stand-alone program and as a plug-in for popular programs such as Thunderbird, Firefox, Opera, Gimp and OpenOffice.org.
KeyMacro can be installed via the Internet, for free, from the official web site. The setup package includes a basic version that allows you to create up to 5 custom hot keys and one global hot key.
If you want to create more hot keys, you’ll have to purchase KeyMacro Deluxe that allows you to define 15 custom hot keys, 5 global hot keys and up to 10 different categories.
If you need advanced features, you can buy KeyMacro Pro that gives you the opportunity to create a total of 40 different custom hot keys and 10 global hot keys.
After the setup is complete, you’ll be prompted to define the hot keys and choose the layout of the window.
For the first time, you’ll need to navigate to the ‘New Commands’ tab and you’ll need to choose the hot key.
After that, you’ll be able to define new commands by choosing a program from the ‘Applications’ section and selecting the command from the ‘Use’ list.
In case you want to assign a program to more than one command, you’ll have to go back to the ‘Commands’ tab and add another line.

What is an Ethics Committee? An ethics committee is a formal body designed to advise and represent faculty. They are primarily concerned with the academic integrity of the university, not the private behavior of faculty. They cannot police the use of Internet resources in the classroom, but can offer guidance, oversight and help in dealing with any academic impropriety that does occur.
There are a number of ethics committees at universities. The most common are the Committee on Academic Honesty, the Committee on Informed Consent, and the Advisory Committee on Student Conduct. The departments in charge of academic misconduct can also have such a body, called the Hearing Committee.
An ethics committee can involve a faculty, staff, student, faculty candidate, or student candidate. If an ethics committee is for faculty, it will normally be composed of a Dean, a member of the Faculty Senate, and one or two other faculty members.
If an ethics committee is for students, it may include students as members.
An advisory committee may be composed of the Dean of Students, the Director of the Student Affairs Office, other faculty members, and staff.
The chief academic officer of the institution is often chosen as a member.
